NOTARY PUBLIC

• The document signer(s) requesting the notarization must appear before the Notary  Public. 
• The signer must present acceptable primary identification.  
• The Notary Public records the details of the notarization in the journal.
• Depending upon the type of notarization, the Notary may do one or more of the following: witness the signer's signature, oversee the copying of a document, and/or obtain applicable declarations. 
• The Notary completes and signs the preprinted/loose notarial certificate on the  document. 
• The Notary completes the notary certification by placing the notary seal, including  the commission expiration date, on the document.

• You are asked to wear a mask. 
• I will have hand sanitizer or wipes. 
• You may write with your pen; otherwise, I will provide one for you. 
• I will practice the 6-ft rule.  
• Other precautionary measures are welcomed.
